Herringbone Wool Tweed Safari Jacket
Made from a beautiful soft and light Italian herringbone wool tweed which we sourced from Laurent Garrigue. Originally we bought this fabric to use in our second AW 2018 capsule collection for our Cyble Coat. But this is such a beautiful and versatile fabric we wanted to reintroduce it with our latest safari jacket. This herringbone tweed wool is extremely light yet warm, perfect for those colder autumn and winter months.
This is our take on the classic safari jacket but with a wintry feel and a whole lot going on because we care about the details. This is a less tailored jacket than you would normally see with a safari jacket. It's gently dropped sleeves and a slightly looser fit makes it ideal for layering. The four front pockets are clear nod to the traditional safari jacket and are fully functioning. The lower pockets which are bagged and lined give you lots of room to store you smalls. The marble effect buttons add a nice contrast and the belt gives you the option to either tie at the waist for a more defined silhouette or tie back for a more casual out and about look. Because we love our details, we have added a contrasting orange velvet undercollar which when flipped up brings another dimension to the jacket. This jacket is unlined but we have lined the sleeves for added comfort and bound the inside seams with contrasting ivory cotton piping to create a garment that is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. To finish it off we have added a gold hanging chain.
We make our jackets on a made to order basis. Only making when a jacket is wanted in turn carefully preserving the materials we have curated to make our special blazers and jackets.
Because each jacket is made individually to order by our London based atelier, the approximate lead time is currently 3 weeks from placing your order.
